Substances subject to the RoHS Directive

The Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS) is a compulsory standard set by the European Union (EU) to restrict the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. EU Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS 2.0) replaced the original Directive 2002/95/EC in January 2013. All electrical and electronic equipment for sale in Europe are subject to RoHS 2.0.

Substances included in RoHS analysis:

  • Lead (Pb)

  • Mercury (Hg)

  • Cadmium (Cd)

  • Hexavalent chromium (Cr6+)

  • Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB)

  • Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE)

  • Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP)

  • Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP)

  • Dibutyl phthalate (DBP)

  • Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP)
