The role

You will be joining our tech team of five developers and one UX designer. The team’s mission is to support our growing operations through development of both customer facing apps and internal tools for e.g. customer interfaces, subcontractor management and reporting.

We work closely with our users and instead of just implementing tickets from the backlog, a large part of a developer's job is identifying problems to solve and designing solutions together with the team.

While our culture values face-to-face time at our office in Helsinki as it enables short feedback loops and rapid problem solving as a team, we have also found good practices for working with colleagues who are mostly remote.

Our core tech stack is based on Google Cloud, Node.js, TypeScript, Postgres, React, Next.js, OpenSearch and Gatsby.

Materials Expert, Food Contact Materials

The role 

We are currently seeking a Materials Expert to join our Food & Food Contact Materials team. This is a permanent position based in Helsinki, Finland. If you are a resourceful individual with a proactive attitude and expertise in food contact materials testing and regulations, you might be the person we are looking for. 

As a Materials Expert, you help our clients to bring their products to the market by arranging the needed testing services for them. You operate at the interface of our customers who need testing services, and our partner laboratories who perform them. You help our customers to identify the tests that they need, arrange the samples in the laboratories, report the results and provide consultation. You will not be performing the tests yourself as the implementation of the measurements will be the responsibility of our partner laboratories.

To master the work, you need to be familiar with the regulatory landscape of food contact materials (FCMs) and have knowledge of common chemical analysis techniques. Previous experience with the related laboratory testing is considered an advantage. You work directly with different partners, both customers and laboratories so good communication skills are prerequisites for success.

We are currently seeking a Materials Expert to join our Semiconductors and Inorganics team. This is a permanent position based in Helsinki, Finland. If you are a resourceful individual with a proactive attitude and expertise in semiconductors, you might be the person we are looking for. 

As a Materials Expert, you help our clients to develop their devices and processes by arranging the needed testing services for them. You operate at the interface of our customers who need testing services, and our partner laboratories who perform them. You help our customers to identify the tests that they need, arrange the samples in the laboratories, report the results and provide consultation. You will not be performing the tests yourself as the implementation of the measurements will be the responsibility of our partner laboratories.

You will work mainly on projects related to semiconductors, thin films, and other inorganic materials. The projects will involve various analytical techniques, such as AFM, GI-XRD, XRR, ToF-ERDA, XPS, SIMS, TEM, SEM, TXRF, VPD ICP-MS and electrical testing. To succeed in this role, you need to be able to quickly grasp the principles, applications and limitations of different methods and communicate the topics fluently with our customers in English.

We are currently seeking a Medical Devices Expert for a permanent position based in Helsinki, Finland. If you are a sociable individual with a proactive attitude and expertise in medical devices testing and regulations, you might be the person we are looking for. 

As a Medical Devices Expert, you help our clients to bring their products to the market by arranging the needed testing services for them. You operate at the interface of our customers who need testing services, and our partner laboratories who perform them. You help our customers to identify the tests that they need, arrange the samples in the laboratories, report the results and provide consultation, especially in regulatory affairs related to the testing of Medical Devices. You will not be performing the test yourself as the implementation of the measurements will be the responsibility of our partner laboratories.

To master the work, you need to be familiar with testing requirements of medical devices, including biocompatibility, sterilization, and cleanliness. Previous experience with regulatory testing is highly valued. To succeed in this role, you need to be able to read and thoroughly understand the technical text and communicate the topic fluently with our customers in English.

In this role, you'll develop our outbound sales strategy, focusing on acquiring new, large clients in the Inorganics and Semiconductors industries targeting clients mainly in Europe. Your responsibilities include conducting outreach, securing prospect buy-in, and transferring projects to our expert team. You'll work closely with researchers, product developers, and quality controllers to address their requirements. 

As we have a new and growing sales team, you’ll have a lot of opportunities to influence our outbound sales processes and experiment with different approaches to find the most effective practices. We hope that you are ready to take initiative, be resourceful and hungry to go after growth opportunities. 

This position can be located either in Finland or the UK.
