SRF analysis package for emissions monitoring according to the EU MRR
Analysis package for solid recovered fuel (SRF) covering the parameters required under the EU Monitoring and Reporting Regulation (MRR, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/2066) for solid fuel combustion.
The following parameters are reported:
Parameter | Method | Reporting limit (LOR) |
|---|---|---|
Moisture content | CEN/TS 15414-2 | 0.1 % |
Ash content (550°C), dry basis | EN ISO 21656 | 0.1 % |
Sulfur (S), dry basis | ASTM D4239 (mod.) | 0.01 % |
Carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, dry basis | EN ISO 21663 | 0.5 / 0.3 / 0.2 % |
Gross calorific value, dry basis | EN ISO 21654 | 1 MJ/kg |
Net calorific value, dry basis | EN ISO 21654 | 1 MJ/kg / 0.280 MWh/t |
Net calorific value, as received | EN ISO 21654 | 1 MJ/kg / 0.280 MWh/t |
Biogenic carbon content (% of total C) | Internal method based on EN ISO 21644 | 1.0 % |
Total CO2 emission factor | Internal calculation per Finland's Energy Authority guidance (2014) | 1.0 t CO2/TJ |
Sample pretreatment follows EN ISO 21646.
Gross calorific value is determined by bomb calorimetry; net calorific values are calculated from measured gross calorific value together with composition and moisture data per EN ISO 21654. Low-density materials are tested in pellet form.
The analysis list is not exhaustive, and depending on the type of SRF, the analyzed parameters may need to be adjusted to fulfill MRR requirements. Please ask for a quote for all the required parameters.
