Persistent Organic Pollutants (POP) in WEEE and plastics

This analysis package covers the persistent organic pollutants (POPs) most relevant to plastic waste, including plastics from waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). The package is designed to support risk assessments under the POPs Regulation (EU) 2019/1021.

The analysis is divided into the following subsets:

  • Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs)

  • Hexabromocyclododecane (HBCDD)

  • Short- and medium-chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs and MCCPs)

  • Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), dioxins and furans

  • Dechlorane Plus

  • UV-328

Individual subsets can be ordered on their own or in any combination at a reduced price. A package covering all POPs listed in Regulation (EU) 2019/1021 is also available.

Solid samples must be ground before analysis. Milling can be provided at an additional cost, but it will extend the turnaround time.
