Particle size distribution (PSD) by laser light diffraction according to Ph. Eur. 2.9.31
Determination of particle size distribution in pharmaceutical powders and suspensions using laser light diffraction in accordance with European Pharmacopoeia general chapter Ph. Eur. 2.9.31.
This method is widely applied to APIs, excipients, and intermediate materials where particle size has a direct impact on dissolution, bioavailability, blend uniformity, flowability, and overall product performance.
The report will include a full particle size distribution profile, including e.g., D10, D50, and D90 values and distribution curves. Both dry and wet dispersion techniques can be applied depending on material properties and the requirements defined in the applicable pharmacopoeial monograph or other specification.
