Horizontal impact test for corrugated cardboard
Horizontal impact testing by the ISO 2244 standard is used to determine the effect of a vertical impact on the horizontal edge of finished and filled cardboard containers.
In the test, the packaging is placed on a carriage that is rolled against an impact apparatus. Testing can include a single test or a series of impact tests to evaluate the packaging's ability to perform in environments with a horizontal impact hazard.
