Carotenoid analysis package

Carotenoids are pigments present in various food products either naturally or as additives, for example as food colorants. Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008 regulates the use of carotenoids as food additives.

This test package includes the determination of the following carotenoids with an HPLC-UV-VIS method:

• Astaxanthin

• Lutein

• Zeaxanthin

• Canthaxanthin

• β-apo-8'-carotenal

• Cytraxanthin

• Ethyl-β-apo-8'-carotenoate

• β-carotene

• Lycopene

• Non-identified xantophylls

• Total sum of carotenoids
