Tensile testing of metals at room temperature by ASTM E8 or ISO 6892-1
Tensile tests by ASTM E8/E8M and ISO 6892-1 can be used to determine the mechanical properties of metallic materials at room temperature. Tensile testing is the most commonly used and reliable way to characterize the strength of metals and metal extrusion products.
The results will include data on multiple properties, including tensile strength, yield strength, and modulus of elasticity.
The testing procedure is very similar under both standards. If you wish a specific standard to be used, please inform us upon ordering the test.
