Allergens (ELISA) - sesame seeds
Quantitative determination of sesame seeds in food to facilitate allergen labeling according to Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 on the provision of food information to consumers.
According to the regulation, sesame seeds and other allergens must be indicated and emphasized in the list of ingredients when they are used intentionally. It is also recommended to indicate possible unintentional contamination.
Testing feed, dietary supplements, cosmetics, and environmental samples for sesame seeds is also possible. The analysis is based on the ELISA method, with the specific ELISA kit chosen based on sample composition.
