Pistachio nuts are listed as an allergy-causing product in Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 on the provision of food information to consumers, which means that it is mandatory to emphasize them in the list of ingredients. It is also recommended to indicate the possibility of unintentional pistachio contamination, if applicable.

This analysis can also be applied to other sample materials, such as feed and cosmetics.
