Cashews are listed as an allergen in Annex II of Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 on the provision of food information to consumers. This means their presence in food products must be indicated and emphasized in the list of ingredients.
If the product may unintentionally contain cashews, a voluntary indication is recommended.
