Krista Alasalmi joined Measurlabs as a food and food contact material testing expert in the summer of 2023. She is passionate about all aspects of food safety and enjoys helping clients ensure the safety and compliance of their products. In addition, she handles the majority of Measurlabs' customer projects on toy safety testing.
Krista has previously worked in food industry quality control at Lidl and as a customs officer at the Finnish customs. As a result, she is very familiar with the rules and regulations that govern food safety in Finland and the EU.
Krista holds an MSc in food science from the University of Helsinki. Her master’s thesis focused on exopolysaccharide-producing lactic acid bacteria in sourdough baking.
