Linear density of threads by the rope method

This test can be used to determine the linear density of all kinds of yarns in package form with the rope method.

The method is applicable to single yarns, folded yarns, and cabled yarns. However, the method cannot be used for yarns that stretch more than 0.5 % when the tension increases from 0.5 cN to 1.0 cN or yarns with a linear density over 2000 tex.
