Ethanol testing by EN 15376

The analysis is intended for ethanol used as a blending component for petrol. It can be used, for example, when evaluating whether bioethanol meets all the necessary quality specifications.

The following parameters mentioned in standard EN 15376 are included in the analysis:

• Ethanol content and higher saturated alcohol content according to EN 15721

• Content of higher (C3 - C5) monoalcohols according to EN 15721

• Methanol content according to EN 15721

• Water content according to EN 15489

• Total acidity (expressed as acetic acid) according to EN 15491

• Electrical conductivity according to EN 15938

• Appearance according to EN 15769

• Inorganic chlorine content according to EN 15492

• Sulfate content according to EN 15492

• Copper content according to EN 15837

• Phosphorus content according to EN 15837

• Non-volatile parts according to EN 15691

• Sulfur content according to EN 15486
