Kinematic viscosity of oils with a Stabinger viscometer

Kinematic viscosity measurement according to DIN 51659-2 at 40 °C and 100 °C using a Stabinger viscometer.

Kinematic viscosity is calculated from the dynamic viscosity and density of the analyzed oil.

The analysis is suitable for oils that fall within the following viscosity ranges:

  • Viscosity range at 40 °C: approx. 4–1,000 mm2/s

  • Viscosity range at 100 °C: approx. 2–100 mm2/s
