Cations in ultrapure water
Method to determine the cation content in ultrapure water samples using ion chromatography (IC). Results are reported in ppb for the following cations:
Ion | LOQ (ppb) |
|---|---|
Ammonium (NH4+) | 0.015 |
Calcium (Ca2+) | 0.015 |
Lithium (Li+) | 0.005 |
Magnesium (Mg2+) | 0.015 |
Potassium (K+) | 0.020 |
Sodium (Na+) | 0.010 |
The method is optimized for low-impurity water matrices. Samples with high impurity levels may require dilution, which raises the effective LOQ.
Samples must be collected in containers designed for ultrapure water. Measurlabs can provide the required sample vessels upon request.
