Tuomas Saastamoinen

Tuomas Saastamoinen works as a Technical Sales Manager in Measurlabs' Chemicals & Environment team, supporting customers with environmental, chemical, and industrial testing needs. He holds an MSc in Microbiology and has conducted research on biofilms at the University of Helsinki and Helsinki University of Technology, co-authoring the following scientific articles:

• Investigating early stages of biocorrosion with XPS: AISI 304 stainless steel exposed to Burkholderia species in Applied Surface Science

• Metabolism of halohydroquinones in Rhodococcus chlorophenolicus PCP-1 in Biodegradation

• Characterization of aromatic dehalogenases of Mycobacterium fortuitum CG-2 in Journal of Bacteriology

Tuomas has more than 20 years of experience in international laboratory equipment distribution and sales. He previously worked for over a decade at biotechnology supplier VWR (now part of Avantor), holding roles from product management and applications support to business development and major account management.
