Aatto Rautio works in Measurlabs' environment & industry team as a chemical testing expert with a primary focus on the analysis of microplastics, PFAS compounds, and other environmental contaminants. He has been interviewed on microplastic pollution for a Finnish newspaper and has lectured on the topic at industry events.
Aatto holds an MSc in chemistry from the University of Oulu. During his studies, he worked as a research assistant in a group focusing on the characterization of different nanomaterials. Aatto also has more than seven years of experience working at large commercial laboratories. His clients have included waste management and water treatment facilities, power plants, and companies in the bioproduct, food, chemical, and oil industries.
