Water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) of textiles

Water vapor transmission rate testing is used to evaluate the breathability of textiles. The ASTM E96 test measures the amount of water vapor that passes through the fabric in a controlled environment.

The standard conditions are 20 °C and 65% relative humidity. The result will be given as g/m2/day.
