GC-MS screening analysis
Qualitative screening analysis of volatile organic compounds in a sample with gas chromatography - mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The method is suitable for detecting various organic compounds with low polarities in different sample matrices. It can be used to identify both major and minor components of a sample. Typically organic compounds with boiling points between 100 and 400 °C can be detected. The method is not suitable for analyzing gaseous samples or detecting compounds with high polarities (glycols, diamines, carboxylic acids, etc). Please contact our experts if you are interested in analyzing gases or very polar compounds.
