Box compression test (BCT)

Box compression test (BCT) is a mechanical durability test that is designed for complete, filled transport packages. The test data is given as a plot of deformation vs. compressive force. During the test, the container is loaded at a standard rate between two rigid panels. From the test, you will obtain the peak load, deformation at peak load and load at critical deformation. This test is extremely important in evaluating the durability of transport packages to ensure that the contents stay intact during transportation.
